About
Based out of the Lehigh Valley, PA, The Underground Rainbows are the musical outfit of founder Eamon Murray. Along with the recent additions of TJ Duddy on bass guitar and Nick Cardona on drums, the trio combines punk and alternative rock, EDM, reggae, and improvisational jamming among other musical elements. The songs and live sets fearlessly cover a vast territory of sonic realms, harnessing the energy and unique creativity of each member.
Since 2018, The Underground Rainbows have been produced on their independent label, Rocket Off the Post, streaming on all major digital service providers. The last year saw the addition of thirteen new singles, driving the band’s total to 53 songs and 19 releases while setting career highs with roughly 20K Spotify and Apple Music streams across 85 countries.
During 2023, musical reviews of “The Harbor Song” and “Strawberry Banana” appeared on the New Music Blog for the music site Tunepical.com. While reviewing “The Harbor Song,“ author Delvin states, “Already streaming on popular platforms, this is your chance to sink your teeth into this sublime body of work that has been lovingly arranged, immaculately produced, and terrifically executed!” Other releases such as “At Large,” “Dark and Stormy,” “Where the Footsteps End,” “Mr. Wunder and His Trampoline Gun,” and a crunchy-distorted cover of Beck’s “Cyanide Breath Mint” have garnered humble yet growing attention.
In February, 2023, The Underground Rainbows earned the title of Rising Creator from Facebook, achieving in the top 5% of Rising Creators.
